In the days of biggar aircraft, this 4 engined British European Airways Viscount's planes flew the northern routes in the sixties.

Good heavens! I only flew to Orkney once, and it was on a Viscount. Those were the days!!

Hi Edwin, when I went to New Zealand as an 18 year old Feb 1963 we flew out of Grimsetter on a Viscount aircraft. Jack Watson who worked at the airport was kind enough to come as far as London with me and see me off. As you`ll remember Jack was a very good friend to all of us.
