Old fire engine at Bartons

Anyone know anything about this old fire engine? it's lying up at Bartons scrap yard at Hatston. Picture taken 14 November 2010.

This was one of the green godesses which was used during firemens strikes they were stored at home office depot at Steventon Oxford before being sold at auction I worked there for six years 1978/1985

Yes Ian it sure is. In answer to Al's question Its a green goodess, green in colour ( strange ! )with an orange strip down the sides, It has four wheels ( oops 5 counting the steering wheel ) mmmmmm Oh Its got a spot light on the roof at the front near the two tone air horns, Its a Bedford, doesn't seem to have its ladders any more, need more info then ask the boys at the scrap yard.

yes it was mine, but had to go - too many projects on the go. Barton had somebody keen to restore it in Aberdeen. But if anyone is interested I have all the ladders, blue lights etc etc to complete. Pity nobody wanted to buy it at the time, seems to have gained a bit of interest now though!! It did run and drive, but v v greedy!
