County Ploughing match at Orquil, St Ola Orkney 3rd February 1932, 47 ploughs mostly champion ploughmen , only part of the field shown. My grandfather William Bews of Strathore , Shapinsay won 1st prize and a cup for best ploughed rig on the field in the loanguard section. David Work of Ness in Shapinsay won 1st prize and cup for the dux section, he also won Mr William Bartram's 12 guinea prize for best feering, best finish and best ploughed rig. I have a medal, on the back says O.A.S 1932 Wm Bews
