James and Lizzie Reid who emigrated to British Columbia, Canada in 1929. They are the parents of Jim Reid in picture #25521.

James Reid emigrated from Greenock on the Duchess of York to arrive in Montreal on 25th May 1929.He was 38 when he went to Canada and was to meet up with his brother Peter who had emigrated earlier.

His wife Elisabeth and children, James 15, Peter 13, Margaretta 8, and Jean 1, joined him from Greenock, sailing on the Duchess of Richmond and arriving in Montreal 8th November 1929.

James was to continue his occupation of Fisherman on arrival in Canada.
