Radio hammery at the top of Wideford Hill

To accompany picture #25679. It's the top of Wideford Hill and yes it will be radio ham doings, I can see an aerial lead from the minibus to a rod aerial. The Keepers of the Records have identified the far car MRG848 as Andy Wylie's Ford Consul and the middle car BS5389 as Tom Mainland's Standard 10, that just leaves the minibus to be identified BS 5032

I am almost certain Snipe Miller owned that minibus. I remember getting lifts to school from Hatston when i was a peedie boy along with Paul and Leslie in one exactly the same.

The Bedford minibus (BS5032) belonged to my dad, Jack Twatt, amateur radio callsign GM3CCK. He might have been "playing at" Royal Observer Corps up the hill that day too.
