Comments:
The mystery couple are Mr and Mrs John Taylor who lived at Lyde farm Rendall. They are my wife's grandparents. They got married on the 25th April 1919. My wife still has the wedding dress in the picture.

Can the donor of the photograph please let us know how the photograph came into her possession. Thank you.

The backdrop is the same as in picture #24960.

I don't have the actual photo. My cousin has it. It is among the photos from my late aunt Peggy Taylor. She was married to Bill (George William Sabiston) Taylor. His father was George William Moar Taylor from Crook, Birsay. What is the connection, if any, between George and John? There is also a photo of John Taylor in army uniform among the collection. I'm puzzled as to why Peggy had these photos, can you enlighten me, please? Where exactly is Lyde Farm in Rendall?

You are correct Paul - the backdrop is the same. Is there a connection between these ladies and John Taylor's wife - perhaps Lewis Munro can tell us.

If they are studio photos then the backdrop could belong to the studio, there could be lots of photos using it.
