What young Orkney women were wearing about 90 years ago. This shows my grandmother Georgetta Flett (1895-1976) in the centre, flanked by her sisters-in-law Ella Flett (1892-1962) on the left and Violet Flett (1900-1966) on the right. My grandfather's picture can also just be seen on the front of my grandmother's necklace. Her photo was on the other side. Date estimated. [1920]
