Believed to be a Mrs Stevenson. Picture circa possibly 1850.
Location possibly Evie. Anyone recognise the lady?

I should probably amend the possible time frame as that bike was still being produced in the early 1900's.

Possibly 60 years out on time frame as those bikes were still made in 1900!
Worth looking in the neep shed as that bike is worth a lot of money now!

I have my doubts that this would be in Evie in 1850. At that time I don't think there were any Stevensons in the parish. I think it would have been the 20th century before the Stevenson name appeared.

My mother thinks this is her grandmother Ann Stevenson nee Reid wife of Tom Stevenson. They were both from Westray and came to farm Newton in Costa sometime in the 1890's

A trike rather than a bike and, lacking mudguards on the rear wheels, a rather uncomfortable one on wet or muddy roads. An early 20th century photo probably.
