KGS Primary (Infants) 1 - 1952
John Groat has asked me to submit his primary school photos to the OIL - there are 4 altogether and I have guessed the classes and estimated the dates with reference to my own school photos

I have a school photograph taken the same year same age group, but taken in Lenzie academy outside Glasgow and it is weird some of your pupils are so alike my fellow pupils. Is there a Twatt from lingo?? in your photo. Regards

Arthur Finlayson was my late grandfather I was born in Kirkwall 1947 my late father was Tommy Wall who played in goal for Rovers he won many medals but his footballing career was shortened whilst playing he was stamped on and broke his back in three places He also worked at The Orkney cheese factory I also attended Kirkwall Grammar and the old Balfour hospital saved my life when I was four years old as I had a tumour around my windpipe and gullet
