Is this the same car as picture #22599? This one was used as a hire car by Sinkie Drever . must have been driving the bride on this occasion. [Date estimated]

I think this could be a very rare machine called an Angus-Sanderson, but I might be wrong. It does seem to be the same car as shown in picture #22599. I have a copy of "The Automobile" magazine from 1985 which lists the possible surviving Angus-Sandersons at that time, 23 of them, some just an axle. So if the remains of this one are lying around in Stronsay somewhere, some enthusiast may well be interested! One of those listed was registered XE 5461, which looks like it might be close to this one. Coincidentally the man who wrote the article wrote another about the same time describing his trip to Orkney to look for other vintage remains in which he was helped by Ron Marwick. Perhaps Ron can give a more expert identification of this one.

Could this car be a Buick . Sinky my father used one in Stronsay as a hire car.the remains of two of the wheels are still in Stronsay The wooden spokes were used as hammer handels.

I have been on the internet and found a picture of an Angus Sanderson and i think Paul Sutherland is right. I have the origional photo of this car and I compared them . I have heard my father speak of an Angus Sanderson. He was Sinky Drever.
