Kite surfing at Scapa

Looks like fun. I don’t know the rules and regulations of kite surfing but I’ve often wondered if the kite comes down – what happens? I guess you need a dinghy to take you back to the shore! You could never pull the kite in the sea and swim with it.
What about the wind. Offshore wind would be dangerous. You’d find yourself in the Flow in no time and onshore would be a waste of time going up – a few whirlybirds and you’d be on the beach!
I can’t wait to see more of these super photos.

the kites are relaunchable if they crash and the kiters dont go out in offshore winds.
You can also swin towing the kite as there are various safety systems on it.
