Millbank on the right, Castle on extreme right further away from camera.Lower Millfield on left [behind pony and gig] Millburn in centre, Links house half up the brae and the Drill hall and Drill Cottage on top of the brae

Thank you for that Jim, I saw this picture in a house somewhere in Kirkwall and wondered where it was. My grand-father George Tait was born at The Bay so I'm interested in all things Stronsay!

I have this photo in postcards sent to my grandfather William Croy in Vancouver BC Canada. He was the eldest of the Croys.

Hello Rob The James can only be my mums (Mary Chalmers) brother who married Arnadyne Learmonth.Hewas born 27-6-1897.He would also have been Bety Millers Grandfather
