Looks like one of Davy Wilsons build, maybe his son Jimmy's, or did Issac have one as well?

Bluebird. Built by the late davy wilson of ore burn lyness many moons ago. First engine was a model t ford. When isaac acquired her a 6hp poppet valve kelvin was fitted and later on a small german two stroke diesel, the first engine had a good turn of speed but the second and third were considerably slower. I understand that the engine that was in the second speed boat built by davy wilson was a lorry engine. Issac sold the bluebird on his retirement as harbour master at scapa some years ago now.

If this is Isaac's boat then I have been on her, and yes at that time I would guess it was a small Kelvin that was in her. Isaac gave some of us who had been at a farm sale in Flotta a lift up to Longhope in this boat.
The speed boat Jimmy had was bigger maybe 20-22 feet and yes it may have been a lorry engine. I think it was side valve but it gave a good turn o speed. Dont think there was a reverse gear but maybe Im wrong on that.
Pity no one has o photo of her. What about you Beryl, dont you have something?
