The lower part of the mill could be a lot older than the guess of 1850. The higher section is the drying kiln which would have been built onto the original mill in the 1870/80.
Adjacent to the mill is an old drying kiln possibly used before the building of the new one. This type of kiln was always an add on.

There are two chiseled markings of the date "1873" on the Kiln masonry.

This property was owned by my family years ago. Bella Rendall was married to my Grandfather's brother. As a child my Grandfather resided here and worked there. He also lived at Creya up the hill. Any further background that might be available I would appreciate it.
