Some more details and who's in the photo. Miss Mary Rendall was my fathers oldest sister and daughter of John S Rendall the Tinsmith see picture #1152. Mary retired to 8 Nicolson Street and passed away in 1955. The blonde boy in the extreme front is myself. We used to spend our summer holidays out at the schoolhouse. Back row - Jean Donaldson & Lily Alexander. 3rd row - Bell Donaldson & Violet Mainland. 2nd row - Patsy Dunnett, Margaret Seator, Michael Grieve, Jim Alexander & Jim Mainland. Front row - Jean Craigie, Jim Craigie, Jackie Craigie, Beth Mainland, Ernie Seator, George Seator & Tom Seator.

The late Lily Alexander was my aunt (my father Willie Alexander's younger sister)latterly of Kirbust and she married Angus Harcus.

My family, the MacGillivrays, came from Egilshay, later Kirkwall around St Catherines Place. Lovely photo.

My father Benjamin Stewart was born on Egilsay in 1934. Quite amazing to find such pictures of people he probably used to know!
