Just wondering who lived here!

Think the late well-known brothers Geordie and Wullie Seatter probably had some connection with this house.

George and Willie Seatter came from the farm of Howe in Egilsay. This house was used as a school in the very early 1900s, and my late grand uncle James Mainland informed me that each pupil had to take a peat to school each day, to try and keep the draughty old building warm.

Did your late grand uncle mention the master.
My great grandfather William M Glen was schoolmaster on Egilsay at that time.

There was going to be a government school built in Egilsay between Felihall and South Tofts in 1875.
