Black Building

WWII Operations Centre on Inganess Road. The pile of chips, and the concrete slabs came off the roof. They were part of the bomb proofing. See picture #3445.

[Anybody got any internal pictures of this building, especially showing its original purpose?- Steven]

Comments:
Quite inexplicably, this building has always scared me. I don't like passing it, even in daylight... I guess it's just the look of it.

Steven, somewhere there is an article about this RAF Sector Operations Station, with photos. But I can't remember where or when. Maybe ORKNEY VIEW or ORCADIAN.
