Carness Wreck

This old wreck used to lie on the beach at Carness - out past the old Herring Station. Does anyone know what it was, or how it got there?
Picture added on 27 July 2007
Comments:
This was a former Norwegian fishing boat which arrived during WW2 carrying refugees. Don't know how it was beached near Carness perhaps broke adrift in a gale.
