SCAPA

Looking towards Scapa beach.

Comments:
In the left foreground is what we used to call the Blue Stone Quarry, good place for sillocks. The white house in the centre is Lower Scapa, next to it Knarston (the old Norse name for this area of Scapa(Scalpeid)) and the pair of white houses on the right used to be called Nether Scapa. Peeping round the edge top left is new building of Scapa Distillery. Love these photos - brings back memories.
