The first batch of Orcadians Occidental took on to run the Flotta Oil Terminal doing Fire Training in 1976 with the Angus Fire Brigade at Dundee. This group formed the core of staff who saw the commissioning of the new plant, received the first oil in Dec.1976 and after processing shipped it out in Jan. 1977.
