Another Valentine's Series postcard addressed to a lady in Strathbungo, Glasgow. The green halfpenny stamp was franked at 8.36am on November 26th 1906. There is a name on the sailing ship to the right, but despite zooming into the image I cannot make it out.

Comments:
I've the same postcard and I am able to see EFFORT or LEFORT. The first 2 letters are not so clear but it is definately FORT at the end.

The picture is in"Sail Ships of Orkney"from 1954, it's the schooner "Effort" owned by John Heddle, Kirkwall from 1866 to 1890 when she was sold for breaking-up.She was nicknamed the Troffe because her bow and stern were so alike. The "Queen of the Isles" is the other one.
