Mind blowing sophistication in the 1970s. They always seemed to convey bad news.

The PA system was designed, built and installed by Sykes Robertson Electronics from Sanday. George Robertson provided the after sales support, you could smell the pipe smoke after he'd visited!

The channels had BBC Radio's 2,3 and 4/Scotland If I remember correctly, for schools programmes of course!
