Stout family

This is the Stout family picture that used to hang in 'Granny Upstairs' bedroom! This will be your Great Grandad Barbara, and he was a very upright family man! He had our Great Granny, Teenie (Christina), o Broughton, with his first wife, Betsy (Rendall o Longhouse), and she died when Great Granny was was really young (1 or 2yrs). Apparently Great Granny stayed with relatives in a few different houses then, as her father of course, had to work. There is a picture of Great Granny taken with him and his new wife, Margaret Thomson, and she lived with them then! (I will upload that picture as well, shortly, but it is thought Great Granny was possibly about 8). Christina, Betsy, William, Louise, Tom, Nan and Jeemie, were the only Children that Great Grandad had. He apparently died in Papa Stronsay when Greta (Mum), was 5months old! It is thought this picture was taken about 1916.
