Hamnavoe in Switha Sound

This deceptively placid picture shows the Hamnavoe sailing up between Flotta and Longhope with Switha in the background, and was taken on the Flotta 10K sponsored walk (see picture 267).

It's deceptively placid, as it would not be coming through the Flow for no reason other than unpleasantly rough seas on the normal route up the west side of Hoy.

Comments:
Phyllis Gee (nee Sinclair) points out to me that I'm barking up the wrong tree in thinking that the bit of land above the Hamnavoe's stern is Switha-

'It's all South Walls (or Longhope) but the bit on the left is Cantick Head. Kirk Hope is the inlet that's causing the confusion.'

I think the farm in the background might be Crowtaing?
