Mystery house

Can anybody recognize this house. You would have needed to be fast and born before 1928. We would all remember the young man in the doorway.

What year was it demolished and what year was Hatston aerodrome built please?

RNAS Hatston (HMS Sparrowhawk) was started in 1939 and the house was demolished then. Hatston was the first 'hard' runway in Britain.
