Nimrod's son?

13/07/2011 is this the plane that replaces the nimrod? its been flying low over the airport for the last couple of days

I understand it was a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III, flown by 99 Squadron out of RAF Brize Norton.

had to run indoors for the camera before it vanished above the trees again, someone else may have got a better photo, it was really low going over the airport, no idea what it was doing!!
