Peter Cusiter 1860

Peter Cusiter 1860. The date is a guess. Peter was a merchant and shipowner in Kirkwall who lived in Victoria Street prior to his marriage in 1864 to Isabella Cobban Smith. He was a councillor and served a term as Dean of the Guild. Peter purchased the farm Quoydandy where his five children were born and where he died in 1879. He was born Cursiter but became Cusiter by the time he married.
