Pity about the litter!

the sheer size and strengh of this new bridge im wondering if the TA are going to hire it out for manoeuvres
Added by Billy Cardno on 26 April 2011
Indeed Billy, OIC are to be commended on the stoutness of this structure. And if military maneuvers are held in the area at least the bridge will not collapse and send our brave soldiers into the raging torrent below.
Added by Sandy on 27 April 2011
Seems to me that, by some folk, OIC are damned if they do and damned if they don't.
You say the bridge is too strong. If they had put up a flimsier one you would have criticised it.
Added by Ann Sutherland on 02 May 2011
Aye Ann, you're ferly right. I have been guilty of knocking OIC now and then but most of the time they do a good job. I shudder to think what the hitherto excellent road maintenance and refuse collection will be like when the cuts bite.
Added by Sandy on 05 May 2011
Not to worry Sandy, every cloud has a silver lining. We'll be able to dump our garden refuse in the potholes and nobody will ever notice!!
