I have noticed the county library sign and would love to know more about this as we now live at East School.

I don't suppose anyone knows any names of the children in this photo. My granny Helen Laughton (of the Vigga Laughtons) was born at Holm in 1923. I think she may have gone to Holm East School.

I wonder if anyone knows the names of the pupils. My granny, Helen Croy (nee Laughton) of East Park, Holm, would have attended this school about this time. There is a girl in the picture who looks so like her.

Your granny Helen Laughton was my aunty and was born at The Park. Helen Croy was also my aunty My mother Annie Petrie (nee Laughton) was their sister. Alas all the Laughton children have passed away.

I have shown this photograph to my mum and she also thinks the girl in the back row, second from left is her mum, Helen Croy (nee Laughton). In fact I looked very similar when I was a young girl many years ago! I think we have spoken on this site before
