Orkney Army Cadets pictured in Dundee during a summer camp at Buddon in, I think, 1948. The unnumbered officers were not Orkney-based. I've forgotten many names in the intervening 62 years, but I'll have a go.
1 WO David Towers (Toorie), 3 ?? Matches, 4 Leslie Bews, 5 Davy Porteous, 6 Ian Hourston (me), 8 ? Arcus, 12 Robert Collins, 13 Harcus Scott, 17 ?? Heddle, 18 Ron Sabiston, 19 Capt Shearer, 20 Davy Towers, 23 Danny Clouston, 25 Geordie White, 26 Oliver Tait, 27 ?? Cursiter, 28 ?? White, 29 John Tulloch.
Please correct and add if you can.

An interesting picture. Nos. 2 The late Willie Nicolson (I think!) 3. the late Leslie Matches 7. Robert Craigie 8. Johnie Arcus 11. the late Stewart Craigie. Like you, Ian, after all this time names are very dificult to recall!!
