Iknow nothing about flowers but these appeared on the side of our road about a week ago. took the photo on 1st September. Guess they are crocus. can any of the gardeners tell me if they are early or late

It LOOKS LIKE AUTUMN CROCUS

They look like autumn crocus as there's no leaves still.

Could be Autumn crocus also known as colchicum. They flower this time of year.
