We use the name SKY PILOT for Ministers while at sea because of superstitioun!!

The word "minister" was never to be mentioned in a boat as it would bring disaster. I think the seamen of old were not all that happy to transport a minister either. Any idea of the "logic" behind this?

Also one never stuck one's knife in the mast since would cause a gale so strong that it would blow the knife over.
