I went tae Shapinsay on her aboot 1945, and altho' I was young I feel sure she was still steam then, and as she is in the pic.

Could this be the 1893 built wooden motor vessel that was wrecked at Shapinsay Pier on 11 January 1965? 39 tons gross and about 18m length.

My father served on the Iona in the First World War as the signaller. it was a minesweeper patrolling around the Shetland Islands. They were never torpedoed but shipwrecked twice
