Great picture. Am sure Eddie must be a relative of mine somewhere back when as my gran's mum was isabella peace. my gran grew up in Eday but went to westray aged 8 or 9 when her mum died and she described the tang gathering to us in later years but with no fondness at all - the burning stage looks restful but she bitterly resented the work she was put to at that age.
