Shapinsay beat Harray in 1948 in the Parish Cup. John Bews (my dad ) is end middle row sitting next to his uncle Jim Bews with another uncle Sammy Bews sitting in middle of the front row. My grandfather Billy Bews and his brothers Davie and Jackie were also Parish Cup winners in the 1930's which meant that the five Bews brothers from 'Strathore' had all played in cup finals for Shapinsay.
