My cousin Colin McKay holding two lifebelts from the Leicester City

I would be interested to know a little more about this picture. Had the lifebelts only just been recovered and where are they now? My uncle was on the Leicester City and was drowned. I have some newspaper cuttings but not much more. Many thanks.
