How to get to the Broch of Borwick

A highly topical picture, submitted before the mud has had a chance to dry on my breeks.

To get to the broch you set out north from the Yesnaby 'car park', snag your rucksack on a rusty barbed wire fence, and walk about half a mile until you can discern the broch on a small headland, just past a small stack and a waterfall. At this point you should head east a bit to go down into the small bay that the stack is in, optionally wallowing in mud as you protect your camera when sliding on the treacherous slidy slopes.

The sacrifices I make for this site.

Then follow the path up to the broch, using the two stiles that are handily provided for getting over the fences.

Stomp about cliffs at your own risk etc etc.
