This is my Dads car being loaded on the Ola at Scrabster (around 1970 I think)
Picture added on 11 December 2007
Looks like Capt John Tulloch who was probably relieving as Mate at that time and the late Ally Clouston driving the winch. Car is Triumph 2.5Pi or 2000 Mk 2

It's a 2.5PI - you can tell by the wheel trims and the badge on the rear pillar.

Yep, its a PI. Dad had a thing about Triumphs. He had 2 PIs, 2 Staggs, and a Herald. (not all at the same time)
We went to Orkney in one of the Staggs. 2 adults, 2 children, a load of scuba gear (including tanks) and all the luggage for a 2 week holiday. On one trip back in the PI the windshield shattered somewhere north of Inverness in a blizzard. Long drive in the snow to the nearest garage. The next PI gave us a thrill on the way home too. Throttle cable snapped, again in the snow. Dad mended it by using his belt to make a hand throttle. Snow was so bad it was hard to see 2 feet ahead, but we made it home. Our trips to Orkney were always "interesting"
