A Tom Kent picture date unknown.
I've never seen that, I thought when I saw the first picture of this fine looking broch (picture #641). This picture shows that the broch is on the sea side of the fence, and indeed in part on the sea side of the cliff, so I assume it is no more.
Any idea where it was, if that is indeed the case?

It was still there c. 1990 if a little more worn round the edges.

Sure enough, it is still on the map, about a mile north of the road end. This is in the direction of Skara Brae, and is probably the less walked direction as it doesn't go past the quarry or the sea stacks. I'll check it out. Any pictures Leslie?
