Kirkwall Bowling Club

Confession time - quite a lot of years ago, when I was a member of Kirkwall Bowling Club, I borrowed a dozen old photos that had been found in a cupboard in the clubhouse so that I could take them to the Photo Archive to be copied. I recently found to my embarrassment that I still had them (sorry! I'll return them next time I'm in Kirkwall). At the time I spoke to various people and got as many names as I could of those in the pictures and wrote them down on separate sheets of paper, but I think the Photo Archive must have kept them. But if anyone can name these people, please do so. I can remember one or two names but that's about all. Note to the right of the picture a man in plus-fours playing tennis. The date is estimated.

Very interesting to see my grandfather and great grandfather in one picture, especially as I had never seen a picture of my great grandfather before. I believe there's a set of my grandfather's bowls on display in the new clubhouse and they are quite different to the bowls they play with nowadays.
