One for the aficionado: The Cattle/Horse box of the MV Orcadia.

Comments:
A few years ago I was in North Ronaldsay for a weekend with my mum, on Sunday morning we were walking along the beach at the south end by the pier talking about the Orcadia when I kicked a piece of driftwood, turning it over to reveal MV Orcadia carved in it! Firstly, what were the odds of that (somewhere in the region of 1,000, 000 to 1 I would imagine)!?! Secondly, does anyone know what this piece of wood could have been because it had obviously been carved professionally by someone that knew what they were doing (as opposed to someone just scratching it in with a knife) and how it came to be lying on a beach on North Ronaldsay over 10 years after the Orcadia was withdrawn?

I still have the pice of wood somewhere as I thought, given the circumstances, it was worth keeping hold of. [Send in a picture! - Steven]

Rather than being carved on the wood I wouuld say it had been impressed on it.
