Happy New year Steven and all viewers!
I meant to post this pic last year but apparently forgot. It's an original by Edgar Hodges - who painted picture #28239 - and purports to be the ferry Hamnavoe. In fact, Mr Hodges got it wrong - it's more likely Hjaltland - but his mastery of his materials (acrylics & board in this case) and of maritime painting in general is plain to see. Expertly framed by Sinclair Office Supplies, Stromness, the painting currently graces my dining-room wall.
(Incidentally, Edgar Hodges was 88 years old when he dashed this one off.)

I would exhort viewers to click on View Larger Version: it makes a huge difference and does a bit more justice to Edgar Hodges' superlative talent.
