1948 Orkney Inter-county football team

The photo is definitely from 1948. I think this might be the Orkney team from the game against Shetland.
A couple of these footballers are still actively gracing the fairways of the Orkney golf courses.

Thanks for the name Bruce, I remember Arthur Dainty playing in the A league for Hotspur between 1947-1950. A lot of the games were played at Hatston after the War on to the early fiftys' There was some top notch players im the Hatston team but the local teams had talented players to, the Donaldsons', "Foxy" and a lot of the Boys' in the Photo. The Hatson goal Keeper's name [Sargeant] Vickers and John "dook" had many a tussle with him which made great Football to watch. Added by Phil Brough.
