The date is only approx. This photo was taken when the Town Tip was at the Peedie Sea. You can see the the face of the rubbish tip just at the top of the picture. The clean up and the circular boating pond only came into being in the early 1970's , by then the the rubbish was being dumped up in the Hatston Quarry.
