I think you will find this is actually Stromness taken from somewhere like Sutherlands Pier off Victoria Street. The Pier in the foreground is the South Pier and the Steam Trawler is probably approaching the North Pier(sometimes known as Thornley Binders Pier in those days (that was the name of the Seaweed Prcessing company which had that Pier built just after the First World war I think. You can see the South gable end of their factory building on the left( This was later occupied by James Wilson Wholesalers before they moved to Garson Industrial Estate.)
