Found this moth on my stair-carpet at 03.00 today, 18 October 2015. I didn't see it come into the house (or leave it, so it's probably still around).
It's an Angle Shades (Phlogophora meticulosa). Probably a resident species, with numbers boosted by seasonal immigration.
