A rare view of Hatston
[Date guessed. I think we have this here already, but a good excuse to upload a Large Version. Can someone cross reference the other instance if they find it? - Steven]

I would hazard a guess this is pre-1914. In the bottom right is a stack of wood in Baikie's woodyard which moved to Junction Rd. in 1880 from the Ayre. G.W.Road was not in existence until after 1902 according to the Kirkwall map of that year. The Street is W.Castle St. The Burgh Yard is at the top of the photo. Another to check in the Valuation Rolls.
