Who were his parents please? Were they Magnus and Elizabeth/Betsy Reid? Thank you

Beverley - first time I've seen your query. 1881 census gives the above William Work's age as 3 (born Shapinsay)and his relationship to head of house is grandson. His parents will be 41 year old Magnus (born Shap) and Elizabeth aged 37 (born Eday). Her maiden name is not listed but Reid could have been an Eday name!

Thank you Anonymous. I have worked it all out since posting, and found William (unmarried) in 1901 living in Glasgow in the delightfully named Butterbiggins Rd, with his sister Mary and her husband. As yet I have no wife or child for him.
Thank you again

William was born in either second half of 1877 or into 1878. His parents were Magnus and Elizabeth Reid. He was my third cousin 3x removed.
