Bob Leonard, W P Drever, Robert Eunson + 1

Bob Leonard, W P Drever, Robert Eunson + 1 c 1910.

Another of Edwin's photos. Robert Eunson, his father, is 2nd from the right. I think George Leonard is at his left. Not sure which is W P Drever and which is the "friend". It would be interesting to know what their connection was with each other. Date must be around 1910.

Could this be a "rink" at bowls which had won a competition?

Two W.Drever possibilities, W.P.drever, Solicitor, born 1850, Kirkwall,or W.Drever, Grocer, born 1849, Shapinsay. George Leonard, Stationer,Kirkwall, born 1882. Was Robert Eunson born at Halley,Deerness 1882,and in the Ironmongery retail business in 1911?

In 1911 Robert Eunson was a Boarder with Robina Taylor, residing at Buttquoy. She was born in Shapinsay.

My grandfather W P Drever is 2nd from the left . I think the photo would be before 1910 as he got married in 1908 and went to work for Cooper and Co. in Dundee . He returned to Orkney after the First World War and started his shop in Stronsay.

Nicol,

That's the right Robert E, born Halley 23/9/1881, married Jean Russell 29/10/1914, died Kirkwall 26/3/1935. He seems to have been living in Buttquoy in 1911 at Census time. He worked in Glasgow for a few years between censuses, (as did his brother David Langskaill E, my grandfather).

However the four look much the same age to me, but both your W Drevers are over 30 years older than the others.
