The old Scilly Isles boat 'Scillonian' which was renamed the 'Syllingar' and ran for a short period in 1985 & 1986 between Kirkwall and Scalloway.

The Syllingar appears here at 4:00 as the Scillonian, also the Orcadia, possibly summer 1970, in some Orkney aerial filming from 30:00 onwards.

Scalloway to keep within her legal steaming distanse. Brilliant service. It is because of this boat that we have a service to Shetland today. Shortly after the Sylinger stopped, P&O started a service as it had been proved there was a need.
